The Royal Hawaiian Golf Course offers a breathtaking Hawaiian golf experience, situated in the verdant Maunawili Valley beneath the Ko‘olau Mountains. This par-72 course, designed by Pete and Perry Dye, snakes through a jungle with high peaks, thick tropical vegetation, and natural lava rock outcrops.
Fairways are molded amid eye-catching ridges on nearly every hole, creating the illusion of distance. The course has a range of challenging par 4s, reachable par 5s, and important par 3s with Dye’s signature bunkering and undulating greens. Despite the jungle atmosphere, the fairways are clean and the greens are smooth. There is time to take in the scenery because the play moves at a leisurely pace.
