The Height of Indulgence
Cascata is less a golf club and more a spectacular, custom-designed golf environment. Located just outside the city near Boulder City, Nevada, this course was created to be the most exclusive, high-end daily-fee experience in the region. The name itself means “waterfall,” a clear reference to the 418-foot man-made cascade that originates high on the mountainside and flows directly through the opulent clubhouse and down to the practice tee.
Designed by the “U.S. Open Doctor” Rees Jones, the course opened in 2000 and is a true marvel of engineering. It plays a long 7,137 yards from the back tees to a demanding Par 72, cut directly into the rugged mountain terrain of the River Mountains. It is defined by its dramatic elevation changes and pristine, year-round conditions. Expect a private club level of service from the moment your car pulls into the gate.

Key Information
Rees Jones’s design philosophy here was simple: create a world-class championship course that utilizes every bit of the site’s spectacular, severe topography. The result is a genuinely unforgettable round that takes you up, down, and across canyon walls. Because the course is cut into the mountains, you’ll find that nearly every hole plays in complete isolation. You rarely see another group, contributing to a feeling of total exclusivity. The conditioning is always perfect, as you would expect for a facility of this caliber.
The routing is thrilling, full of dramatic carries and shots that call for a huge elevation adjustment, demanding the experienced golfer think carefully about club selection. Many guests love the 14th hole, a mid-length par three that plays over a deep canyon wash to a green backed by stunning mountain views. That said, the entire course flows brilliantly, weaving its way through the mountainscape and incorporating the desert washes as a natural boundary. The overall atmosphere feels less like a competition and more like a privileged, grand tour of a private, beautiful landscape.

Amenities and The Arrival Experience
The setting, just outside the immediate Vegas bustle, adds to the exclusive feel. While you are fully secluded in the River Mountains, the course is easily accessible from the Strip, making it a perfect, self-contained day trip within any high-end Las Vegas vacation.
The amenities and service are where Cascata truly separates itself. The clubhouse is a magnificent Tuscan-style building that houses the flowing waterfall and the elegant dining room, offering a truly grand atmosphere. The service is white-glove, starting with a personal locker in the private locker room and an attentive forecaddie assigned to every group. They take care of all the details, from yardages to club cleaning, allowing you to focus purely on the golf and the scenery. You’ll find the practice facilities are impeccable, and the quality of the post-round dining is superb. Cascata is always best booked as part of a tailored itinerary that includes all your transport and high-end lodging.
