Northern Ireland's Greatest Links
Northern Ireland is home to some of the finest links golf anywhere in the world, and this tour brings five of its standout courses together in one trip.
The headline rounds come at Royal County Down and Royal Portrush, two names that need little introduction. Royal County Down sits beneath the Mourne Mountains and is famous for its towering dunes, narrow fairways and demanding blind shots. On the Causeway Coast, Royal Portrush offers a different test. Its Dunluce Links hosted The Open in 2019 and 2025 and delivers championship golf in a spectacular Atlantic setting.
The trip also takes in Portstewart, where huge dunes frame one of the most memorable opening stretches in Irish golf, and Castlerock, a traditional links with firm turf, natural contours and plenty of character. Completing the lineup is Ardglass, a wonderfully scenic coastal course where several holes run right alongside the Irish Sea.
With five distinctive links courses and relatively short distances between the main golf regions, this itinerary is an ideal way to experience Northern Ireland. There is time to enjoy the towns, pubs and coastal scenery along the way, but golf remains firmly at the heart of the trip.

Tour Itinerary
An unforgettable route across Ireland’s legendary links, from Portrush to Royal County Down. Exact itinerary subject to confirmation.
Welcome to Ireland. On arrival at Dublin Airport, meet your private driver and travel north to the spectacular County Down coast, where you’ll check in at Slieve Donard for a three-night stay.
Overlooking the Irish Sea with the Mountains of Mourne rising behind it, this historic hotel provides an impressive start to your Northern Ireland journey. Settle into your room, explore the hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at your own pace.
Your first round takes you to Ardglass Golf Club, a dramatic coastal links where the opening holes hug the cliffs above the Irish Sea. Rolling terrain, natural hazards and spectacular sea views make this a memorable introduction to golf in Northern Ireland.
After your round, take some time to experience the historic clubhouse, parts of which date back to the 15th century, before returning to Slieve Donard.
Today brings one of the standout rounds of the trip at Royal County Down Golf Club. Set beneath the Mountains of Mourne and overlooking Dundrum Bay, the Championship Course winds through towering dunes, undulating fairways and classic links terrain.
Take on a course shaped in part by Old Tom Morris and renowned for its challenging greens, natural beauty and traditional links character. A minimum mandatory forecaddie is required per group and is payable directly to the club on the day.
Check out of Slieve Donard and continue your journey to the Causeway Coast for a round on the Dunluce Course at Royal Portrush Golf Club, host of The Open Championship in 2019 and 2025.
Rolling fairways, deep bunkers and dramatic coastal scenery provide a true championship links experience. After your round, check in at Curran Gate Luxury Apartments in Portrush for four nights, staying in a spacious three-bedroom sea-view apartment close to the town’s restaurants, bars and waterfront.
Continue your Causeway Coast golf experience at Castlerock Golf Club, where you’ll play the Mussenden Course between the River Bann and Atlantic Ocean.
Firm fairways, rolling dunes and fast greens create a traditional links challenge, while views toward Mussenden Temple add to the spectacular setting. Its quieter atmosphere and natural landscape offer a different experience from the championship venues elsewhere on the tour.
Take a break from the golf and spend the day discovering the Causeway Coast at your own pace. This spectacular stretch of Northern Ireland is home to some of the country’s most recognizable natural and historic landmarks.
Visit the UNESCO-listed Giant’s Causeway, explore the ruins of Dunluce Castle, experience the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, or spend more time enjoying the seaside town of Portrush and its surrounding coastline.
Your final round takes you to the Strand Championship Course at Portstewart Golf Club, an impressive links carved through towering dunes overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
Dramatic elevation changes, sweeping fairways and challenging green complexes provide a fitting finale to the tour. The combination of championship pedigree, spectacular scenery and classic links golf makes Portstewart an unforgettable final round on the Causeway Coast.
Check out of Curran Gate and meet your private driver for the journey back to Dublin Airport.
After eight days combining four outstanding links courses, two distinctive bases and the scenery of Northern Ireland’s coastline, depart Ireland with unforgettable memories of your Northern Ireland golf experience.

Is This Tour Right For Me?
This tour is made for golfers who want to experience Northern Ireland at its best, with a mix of bucket-list championship venues and traditional links that are every bit as enjoyable to discover.
Expect classic coastal golf throughout. Firm fairways, deep bunkers, rolling dunes and changeable winds all play their part, so creativity and course management can be just as useful as distance. You do not need to be a low-handicap golfer, but you should be comfortable with consecutive rounds and enjoy the challenge that comes with true links golf.
Royal County Down and Royal Portrush may be the courses that first catch your attention, but this trip is about much more than two famous names. Portstewart, Castlerock and Ardglass each bring something different to the itinerary.
If you are looking for world-class golf, spectacular coastline and the atmosphere of a traditional Irish golf trip, this tour ticks all the right boxes.
