The brilliance of the Verdura Links lies in its ability to feel like a classic, wind-swept links course while being firmly rooted in the Mediterranean. Kyle Phillips took inspiration from traditional British seaside courses, evident in the minimal mowing lines and the use of natural, native grasses contrasting with the manicured playing surfaces. The East Course routing takes full advantage of the dramatic coastline, offering Mediterranean views from practically every hole.

The course has a wonderful flow, but the coastal stretch is what you’ll remember most. The short par-three 6th is often called the ‘Postage Stamp’ for its exposed green perched right along the sea, demanding a precise, nerve-racking carry, especially when the coastal breeze is up. That said, the finish is truly spectacular. The final holes, particularly the 17th and 18th, climb to a high point, providing elevated tees with crashing views down the coastline as you head back toward the clubhouse. It’s an imaginative, rewarding course that demands both strategic thought and confident ball-striking to manage the varied terrain and the inevitable wind.
