Essential Details
Quintero Golf Club delivers on its reputation as the “Purest Golf Experience” in the Southwest. Located less than an hour northwest of Phoenix Sky Harbor in the high Sonoran Desert near Lake Pleasant, this semi-private course offers an immediate feeling of immersion and seclusion. The 18-hole championship layout (Par 72, Black Tees: 7,208 yards) was crafted by the renowned architect Rees Jones, opening in 2000.
It’s immediately recognizable as a Jones design, featuring generous landing areas off the tee that invite you to swing away, but with strategically placed bunkers and complex, beautifully manicured bentgrass greens that demand precision on the approach. With a formidable slope rating from the tips, Quintero is consistently ranked among the top public and resort courses in the country, a true challenge surrounded entirely by Federal lands.

Key Information
Quintero’s primary defining feature is the breathtaking use of elevation. Jones took full advantage of the Hieroglyphic Mountains foothills, routing the course through significant ups and downs that create dramatic downhill Par 3s and strategic carries over the natural desert washes. You’ll find yourself standing on tees feeling like you’re on top of the world, taking in huge panoramic vistas across the desert floor toward the mountains.
Worth noting, despite the generous landing areas, this is an exacting test of golf that requires you to place the ball in the right positions, especially on the Par 5s, which are varied and present excellent risk-reward opportunities. The green complexes are large and often multi-tiered, demanding serious attention from the experienced golfer. It’s quite memorable because nearly every hole is distinct, framed by massive saguaro cacti and granite outcroppings, giving you the feeling of playing golf in an unspoiled wilderness.

Just got back from a week golfing in Cyprus with this company and they sorted the whole trip out and everything was perfect I would recommend them. Thanks again, Scott.
Great Service
They provided me with a number of options for our trip which made it much easier to get agreement from the group. Trip to Le Touquet was great. Service was great. Will use again
Affordable and Efficient
I have been using this company for the last 4 – 5 years to book and arrange our trips. We have arranged various UK trips from 6 playing golfers up to 16 playing golfers abroad and it is always as simple booking process with the quotations being very keen and clear on what’s included in the packages.
Turkey golf holiday booking
Arranging a European golf holiday next year was so easy with this company. Daniel was very efficient in booking our itinerary request, with good tee off times.

High-End Hospitality Beyond the 18th
What makes Quintero a desirable destination is its commitment to the complete, immersive golf vacation experience. Its location is strategically remote, meaning distractions are nonexistent. The ambiance here is focused entirely on the game. While it operates as a semi-private daily-fee course, Quintero offers an exclusive stay-and-play opportunity with on-site casitas. These accommodations, featuring luxurious amenities, allow you to truly immerse yourself in the desert setting, providing a relaxed haven right next to the first tee.
The clubhouse, while not massive, provides high-quality dining and service, perfect for unwinding after a demanding round. For travelers seeking solitude, exceptional conditioning, and a course that will truly test every club in the bag, Quintero is that perfect, secluded find away from the bustle of central Scottsdale.
If you’d like me to look into availability and pricing for a multi-night stay-and-play package at Quintero, I can certainly help.
