José “Pepe” Gancedo designed the course around the existing landscape, with palm trees, lakes, strategically placed bunkers and generally forgiving landing areas. It’s approachable for higher handicappers, but water and tighter approaches provide enough trouble to keep stronger players interested.

The wider Punta Cana area is also a major part of the appeal. Golf can easily be mixed with beach days, boat trips and additional rounds at some of the Dominican Republic’s better-known courses.
