The test, however, comes subtly on the approach and around the greens. Jones’s strategic bunkering forces you to choose your angles carefully, and the putting surfaces are smooth and quick, demanding focus and a precise read.

The front nine flows naturally, often framed by water or native grasses, leading you to a gorgeous, often-photographed signature moment on the par-3 7th, which requires an elevated, decisive shot over a sweeping lake. It’s a spectacular-looking hole that really makes you commit. The back nine, on the other hand, tightens up just a little, building a strong strategic crescendo. The finishing stretch from the 16th onward is quite memorable, asking players to manage risk-reward decisions to close out the round well.
